Madonna boycotts the British subway.

28 Mar. 2008

The pop-star Madonna has advised to the citizens of London not to use the London subway. The critic of the owner of the multi-million fortune, moving around London in a limo with a driver or by bike - is caused by the cost of the one-time subway ticket.

To have a ride in the London subway, you will have to pay at lease 4 sterling pounds (about $8,3).

Madonna has also criticized the tax introduced in 2003 by the Mayor office of London, for the drive-in into the city center that was supposed to improve the city ecology. The district in the western part of London, where she lives with her husband, the famous movie director Guy Ritchie and two children - is included into this zone.

The current state of the transport system is one of the most painful topics for the inhabitants of the British capital. The tax for the drive-in into the city center is 8 British pounds (about $16,5), though the traffic jams are present round the clock and the subway functions with interruptions because of the constant reparation works. On weekends most of the stations are closed at all.
