In honor of the European Football Championship of the year 2008 that will take place in Austria and Switzerland from the 7-th till 29-th of June, the American photo-artist Spencer Tunick has decided to shoot a composition of 2008 naked people on a stadium in Vienna.
To sponsor this event and to supply with free of charge transportation to Vienna to the first 2008 of the volunteers has decided the national Austrian railway. The participants of the event should gather on the 11-th of May at the Ernst Happel Stadium, where the final match of the European Championship will take place.
Spencer Tunick is famous for his extraordinary works. He specializes in shooting of huge amounts of naked people. So, in Mexico 20 000 of people have imitated the position of the human embryo. In April 2007 in the Netherlands 170 absolutely naked volunteers have composed different figures on a field among the tulips during one and half hours and in August of the same year 600 naked models have posed for the New-York photographer on the Swiss glacier Alestsch, trying to attract the attention of the world society to the incoming threat of the global warming. |
