Along with the spreading smoking ban in the European Union, the special offers of the "smoking tours" appear at the touristic market. These are the trips to the countries that still did not issue the corresponding law.
For example, in Belgium you can still smoke in cafes and restaurants. Besides there are clubs where the meetings of the smokers take place. The smoking ban in Spain is still inactive and the local authorities do not really mind the smoking in prohibited places. Besides, the UEFA Cup will be a paradise for the smokers - it will take place in Austria and Switzerland - two countries where the attitude to the smoking ban is mostly negative.
The Central and Eastern Europe remain the "neutral territory". In spite of the early development stage for the smokers, a big German company plans to create the Smokers' International Airways airline. A Japanese tour operator develops special trips and Estonia offers tours for smokers with the cigar clubs programs. |
