The Philippines island Cebu is known as a resort direction, but in the last time, the tourists are getting attracted not only by the curative beaches of the area, but also by the provincial prison.
The cons of this prison have got popular in the last year, when the video clip where they dance to the "Thriller" tune of Michael Jackson, became the hit at You Tube. The dance of thousands of the prisoners in orange suits have seen more than 15 million of people. And now the spectators want to see this personally. People staying at the watching grounds surrounding the prison square are applauding and dancing - as if they were at a rock concert. The dances include Queen's "Radio Ga Ga", Bonnie Tyler's "I Need a Hero", during which the prisoners hold the portraits of Dalai Lama, Pope Johann Paul II and Mahatma Gandhi. "They dance so good. I am so impressed",- says the student from the Netherlands, Ann Jasermann. At the end of the 2-hours program, that takes place every last Saturday of the month, the visitors can take pictures with the prisoners. They can also buy orange prison shirts as souvenirs. |
