The passenger that has decided to perform a prayer before the takeoff, when he has left his seat to do this - has been taken off the United Airlines plane that was headed from New York to San Francisco. The passenger belonging to the orthodox Israelite has left his place a couple of minutes before the flight and went to the tail of the aircraft, where he began to read his prayer. When the stewards have asked him to take his seat, he gave no answer and continued to pray.
Two of his companions have tried to convince the stewards that the prayer cannot be interrupted and it ends in two minutes. But the stewards have waited till the end of the prayer and have called the security service of the airport, that got the passenger out of the plane. The airline has explained this fact with the wish to keep the schedule and with the fact that the praying passenger did not listen to the security instructions that are being read before every flight and did not watch the corresponding demonstration. The god-loving passenger had to take the next flight. |
