The Russian scientists have developed a unique dosimeter of the ultraviolet rays that can notify the owner about the limit of the sun dose.
As the researchers tell, the base of the device is a silicon sensor. It measures the dose of the ultraviolet. During the exposure to the ultraviolet, the semiconductor structure is being changed and the conductive parameters change too. The intensity and the time of exposure are two factors that influence the conductive parameters. When the summary indicator comes to a dangerous dose, the gadget sounds the alarm, telling the owner that he should better hide from the sun rays. The dosimeter can be attached to the bathing suit or just worn as the wrist watch. When it comes to bathing, the device should be left on the shore. |
