The specialists say that Chile becomes more and more popular as the place of interest for the tourists. In the summer season (December 2006 - February 2007) about 640 thousand of travelers have visited this country. The income from the touristic industry was $2,4 Billion. Most of the tourists are interested in such places like Osorno, where the largest in Chile cattle fair takes place, the southern Puerto Mont, one of the oldest cities in Chile - La Serena, the wonderful city at the Magellan strait - Punta Arenas and the famous Easter Island, that is in fact an open national park that welcomes thousands of mystery-lovers every year. |
