Short before the 1-st of July, the international Children's Day, the international charity organization Save the Children has published a list of the countries that are most suitable for the rest of children with their mothers. The organization exists since 1919 and the qualified experts have performed the research according to the following list of criteria: risk of mother death during pregnancy and birth; the women longevity; the length of the compulsory education for women, the ratio of the men and women incomes, the conditions of the maternity leave and how women are occupied in the politics.
Already for the second consecutive year Italy has been considered the best country for children holidays and has taken only the 19-th place in the rating of the places that suit best for mother vacations. In the category - best place for living for women and mothers - Scandinavian countries are the leaders. Sweden has occupied the first place, Norway the second place for mothers and fifth for women, Iceland is at the third place in both lists. Then follow New Zealand and Germany. |
