The best tourists in the world are... Japanese tourists

4 Jun. 2008

According to the yearly poll that is held by the Expedia travel agency, the best tourists are the Japanese. More than 4000 thousands of the hotel owners all over the world have taken part in the poll.

They have appreciated the tourists from various countries according to several criterias: behavior, generosity, tidiness, desire to speak the local language, interest to the local cuisine, dressing manner and others.

The Japanese have appeared to be the most exemplary tourists and have headed the list. The second place is occupied by the tourists from Great Britain and the third by the Germans. They are followed by the Canadians and Swiss.

The Americans have gained the 11-th place, though they are first in two parameters: the willingness to learn a couple of popular phrases in the local language and the interest to the local cuisine.

The French, Chinese and Japanese tourists are less interested in the language of the country they visit.

The Russians are considered among the most generous and are behind the USA and Canada tourists. The most fashionable and stylish ones are the Frenchmen and Italians, and the Americans, according to the opinion of the respondents are dressing inelegantly.
