These days the districts of the South Africa that are washed by the Indian ocean are captured by the "Sardine Run". The place between Durban and Port Elizabeth called "Wild Coast" is overcrowded by thousands of locals and tourists. The "Sardine Run" is much like a maniacal disease - it is fishing.
Every year in this place there is a unique natural phenomenon - mass run of sardine shoals. These small fishes of the herring family come so close to the shore in June, that everybody can get into water and catch them in fact with their hands. |
