Pilots have overslept the destination

27 Jun. 2008

The tired pilots have taken a nap in the cabin and the flight Dubai - Mumbai was headed further to Goa. This message has been published by The TImes of India newspaper about two weeks ago. THe representatives of the airline deny the fact that the pilots have slept at the steering. Though they do not deny that the incident took place, but tell that the reason for this was the malfunction of the plane communication system with the ground dispatchers.

There were about 100 of passengers onboard and the plane was headed to Mumbai by the autopilot, but when the dispatchers have tried to assist the aircraft with the landing it did not respond and followed the previous course. At last the dispatchers have managed to get in touch with the pilots and they have turned the plane back.
