Another famous collection "Ripley's Believe it or not" museum will be opened in London in August that will expose astonishing items from all the ends of the world - for example a Mini Cooper covered with Swarowski crystals with the total cost of $1 million; the "iron maid" of the XVI-th century (torture device); dried human heads from Ecuador; Tower Bridge model made out of matches; real moon stone and a copy of the Lord's Supper copy on a rice corn.
This will be the second Ripley's museum in Great Britain - the first one is located in Blackpool and 28 others in USA. Besides, the opening of Ripley's in India is already planned. The museums are called in favor of the American collector and artist Robert Ripley that has opened the first Odditorium (a collection of odd and unusual items) in Chicago in 1933.
The "Ripley's Believe it or not" company also produces television shows and comics in 42 countries of the world that demonstrate wonderful people, items and events from the whole planet. The Ripley's in London is located in the huge entertainment center Trocadero. |
