USA airlines have allowed the passengers to use the Internet

22 Jun. 2008

Three USA airlines have allowed the passengers to enter the world wide web on the local flights. With the use of special code that can be bought only for $13, you can enter the Internet already in the taxi on the way to the airport or on the ways from the parking to the terminal. The new access technology Gogo of the AirCell company works in six large USA airports including La Guardia in New York and Newark, New Jersey.

The European airlines Air France and KLM have experimentally allowed the passengers flying from Paris to Amsterdam the usage of the cellphones. Later they will be followed by the British Midland Airways, the Portuguese TAR and the low-budget Irish Ryanair.

The cellphone usage is also allowed at the Emirates airline. It is allowed to talk on the phone during the whole flight time, except takeoff and landing. Only the night flights are restricted. Besides, the passengers are requested to turn on the silent mode on their phones.
