Australian ZOO will close a group of volunteers in a primate cage to perform a research in order to find out which conditions are mostly suitable for monkeys. For more than a month several people will be closed in the orangutan cage in the Adelaide ZOO, suffering from the heat and eating bananas. Their behavior will be observed by a psychologist and Internet users will be able to watch them online.
The watchers will have also the possibility to vote for the best "monkey" by means of text messages, just like in a reality show. At the end of the month, the most popular inhabitant of the cage will achieve the "Super Man" title and will became the face of the zoo.
"They are simply crazy",- said one of the ZOO visitors, watching the people who were imitating monkeys, combing the louse from each other's hair. But for one of the participants of the experiment, John Penley, this is a possibility to step out of the routine and have an unusual relaxation.
There are also some restrictions for the participants to obey, such like getting naked, being rude to the visitors and attack the cage. In the case of breaking the rules, the stuff is allowed to use tranquilizers. |
