Japanese people are famous for their love to the food. They also like to take baths. And it is not really astonishing that exactly in this country there is a resort that unites these two passions. In the Yunessun aqua park in the Hakone region the visitors are offered baths from red wine, sake, green tea and even... noodle soup.
All these baths are decorated correspondingly: a colossal bottle hangs over the wine bath, huge teapot over the tea bath and the soup bath represents a traditional bowl with Chinese sticks with noodles over it. A person in a chef cook suit walks round the room with soup baths and straws additional noodles into your bouillon and pours soy sauce. The noodles are not real - these are various aromatic additives in form of the noodles. The fluid in the bath is actually not soup, but it contains pepper and garlic extracts that are good for the human skin.
Unlike the soup, the red wine, sake, tea and coffee in other baths or mini pools - are absolutely real. It is a separate entertainment to see how additional wine is getting poured into the wine pool (this happens several times a day). Beside the edible baths, the Yunessun resort has also usual attractions like Rome or Turkish saunas, water slopes, waterfalls and others. There are also lots of shops, restaurants and beauty salons over there. |
