The British Museum beats the popularity records 3 Jul. 2008 |
|
6 million people have visited the British Museum since the last year. This indicator is the highest for all the history of the statistic of the museum since it's foundation in 1753. Only the Terracotta Army of the first Chinese emperor has been attended by 850 thousands of people. A greater success had only the tomb of the Tutankhamen pharaoh: it has been visited by 1,7 million of people in 1972. The popularity of this famous exposition is so high, that even for the exhibition dedicated to the emperor Adrian that will open on the 24-th of July, 10 thousands of tickets has been bought already. |
