13 tourists have been injured during the Bulls Run in Spain

8 Jul. 2008

The first Bulls Run in Pamplona is over and there are several injured people as usual. The most eye-catching moments of the Saint Fermin holiday, that is celebrated from the 6-th till the 14-th of July in honor of the protector of the Pamplona city, begin when the raging bulls are let out to the narrow streets of the city and the brave volunteers try to escape them. The Bull Run is the most interesting show of the festival. Each year thousands of extreme lovers demonstrate their courage and dexterity. They should overcome a 800-meter long distance from the volley, where the bulls are being kept, till the corrida arena.

This year 13 people have got traumas of various severity during this run of the raging bulls through the old town. There are tourists from USA, Great Britain, Australia, New Zealand and SAR among those who got injured from the horns and hoofs of the bulls. Most of the local mass media are offering their initials to the public. A serious injury got one of the volunteers - his initials are J.E.A. - he lives in a neighboring town Lekunberri.
