The Dubai police has began a campaign against foreign tourists that have an indecent look or behave themselves improper on the beach. 79 people have been already detained during the last two weeks. According to the police officers, all of them "were disturbing the family rest on the beach".
The indecent looking tourists that have been noticed for the first time will receive a warning. But if they get caught again, the case will be passed to the prosecutors and they will solve this issue already from the penal point of view.
Topless of completely naked sunbathing is an improper way of beach rest in Dubai.
The first impulse for the beginning of the campaign was the arrest of two British tourists that have been making sex on the public beach.
This is the way how the authorities have decided to remind the tourists and foreigners that work here, that Dubai is still a moslem Emirate with traditional for this religion conservative moralities. |
