The best city of the world in 2008 has been considered the capital of Thailand - Bangkok, and the Galapagos Islands have found themselves at the top of the world best islands. These are the results of an online-poll of the travelers.
The capital of Thailand with Galapagos Islands have taken the first lines in their ratings for the first time, leaving behind the winners of the last year - the Italian Florence and the Indonesian Bali island.
In 2007 Bangkok has taken the "honorable" third place and the Galapagos Islands have taken only the eighth place. Now the motherland of the Italian Renaissance is not so interesting for the tourists - Florence got to the fifth line of the list. Bali does not really want to give up and has lost only one place, having landed at the second place.
This year, the Signita Sabi Sand hotel in the Kruger National Park, SAR, has won in the nomination "world best hotel".
The Singapore Airlines is the leader in the "world best international airline. Internal flights are the best with the American air carrier Virgin America. The best huge sea liners cruises are offered by the Crystal Cruises company and the small ones are best at the Silversea Cruises company.
The best tour operator is considered to be Micato Safaris and cars should be rented at Hertz.
The poll took place between January and March and the rewarding will take place in New-York on the 24-th of July. |
