Sun protection cosmetics do not prevent skin cancer

17 Jul. 2008

The recent National Cancer Research Institute (NCRI) work has disputed the affirmation that the anti-sun cremes are positive for the skin and protect from the negative influence of the sun rays. According to the experts, each eighth lotion did not protect the skin from the sun.

They have figured out that most of the sun care cosmetics are not filtering the ultraviolet rays out and do not block the penetration of the dangerous rays into the corium. Besides, most of the anti-sun cremes contribute to the forming of toxic components in the skin. According to the dermatologists, you should not also believe to those substances that promise protection during the whole day - because each lotion should be regularly - at best every two hours - applied to the skin while you are exposed to the direct sunlight.

The excessive sunbathing and dark-brown skin tan can provoke the skin cancer and sun care cosmetics won't help in this case. The scientists have determined the relation between the amount of hours spent under the sun and the probability of the skin cancer appearance.
