A curious research has been recently held by the Telegraph journalists. According to their information, the capital of England - London is the most expensive city for the tourists. They have revealed that an average family that consists of 4 people will have to spend about 550 sterling pounds (nearly 1100 dollars) to visit 10 London sights (these are the places with paid entrance). For example, such family would pay only 216 pounds to visit 10 sights of the Italian capital - Rome, 386 in Paris and 376 in New York. The high prices for the sights of London are explained with the fact that the largest museums of the British capital are charging a serious amount for the entrance. These are the National Gallery, the British Museum, the Madame Tussauds wax museum, Buckingham palace and the London Tower.
The bus tours around London are also quite expensive. You won't find a bus tour cheaper than 65 pounds. The prices in Paris, New York and Rome are quite different - the prices for bus tours are varying there from 25 to 55 pounds. |
