Brazilian police has arrested the main organizer of the yearly Rio de Janeiro carnival during the operation against the underground gambling clubs and money-laundering. During the operation were also arrested the federal judge and the prosecutor.

According to the police report, the president of the independent samba schools league Ailton Guimaraes Jorge was arrested on Friday in his penthouse in Niteroi.
