"British Airways" loses more suitcases and detains more planes than any other big airline in Europe. The day when the airline started the first advertising campaign with the announcement that the Terminal 5 is functional to help the reputation of airport "Heathrow", it was found out that for the first half of this year, clients of "British Airways" have lost for 80 percent more luggage than the clients of other carriers.
The association of the European air carriers which conducted this research has found out that during the period from January till June: nine passengers traveling "BA" on an usual air liner-giant could not find their luggage after the flight arrival at destination.
Research also has shown that one third of all first arrivals of planes from this airline were late for at least 15 minutes.
Simon Evans, the head of the Committee of passengers of air transport, the official body on supervision, has expressed disappointment over the work of this airline which forces the passengers to worry more and more. Last year for each 1000 passengers of "British Airways" there was about 26 lost bags and suitcases, in comparison with 23 in 2006. But only for the first 6 months of 2008 this figure has made 25.8. |
