...to let the pilot have a good night's rest. The passengers that were flying from Delhi to London had to stay in India for 13 more hours, because the pilot didn't have a chance to sleep well in the hotel because of the noise.

The furious passengers were taken off the plane in the early mourning on Sunday, when the pilot has refused to take the plane off and demanded to give him additional time for a sleep. "The crew didn't have a change to have a proper rest... everybody had a disturbed night",- said Radhika Raichy, the British Airways press-secretary. The rules of the company do not allow the pilots to fly in such conditions.

The passengers were lodged in the hotels and have waited till the crew get a proper rest. Because of the lack of places in hotels, many of the passengers had to share the rooms with strangers.

After 13 hours flight number 142 has taken off for London.
