A British tourist has received six months of prison for photographing female skirts in a shopping center of Dubai. 28 years old electrician from London shot female legs and skirts with a mobile phone put in a basket. After complaints from customers, security guards arrested the culprit. The British declared to the court that he has made only one picture "for fun". However on its mobile phone photos of two different women were found and the court has sentenced the tourist to 6 months of prison. After the termination of his term, the man will be extradicted from the United Arab Emirates.
Recently the United Arab Emirates has toughened the controls about the behavior of tourists, insisting on observance of Muslim morals norms. Another British pair, Michelle Pamler and Vince Acros, are threatened with 6 years of prison for sex on a public beach of Dubai. The pair denies charge. However indications of witnesses and DNA test confirm their fault. As aggravating circumstance, the accused are not married with each other. Hearings on the case will take place on September, 2nd. |
